How to Request a Street Tree
-
REQUEST YOUR TREE
Contact 311 to request a street tree for the front or side of your home. Both homeowners and renters are eligible and encouraged to apply.
-
GET YOUR PLANTING SCHEDULED
Once you’ve entered your request, the City of Buffalo Division of Parks and Recreation will assess if there is sufficient space for a tree to be planted. If there is, your request will go onto the City’s schedule for tree planting.
Tree plantings occur during the spring (March 15-May 15) or fall (October 15-December 31) dormant seasons.
-
HELP YOUR TREE GROW
The first few years of a tree’s life are critical to make sure it survives. The City will do some basic maintenance (mulching and weeding), and residents are strongly encouraged to water regularly. Learn more about helping your tree grow.
