Become a Street Tree Ambassador
The City of Buffalo’s Buffalo Street Trees (BST) Program is recruiting 12 Street Tree Ambassadors to help bring more trees to Buffalo neighborhoods. The program will launch in January 2026.
Ambassadors will receive training in tree biology, basic tree care, and the many benefits of a healthy urban tree canopy. Each Ambassador will complete 20 total hours of service during 2026, including approximately 8 hours of training and 12 hours of community outreach.
Once trained, Ambassadors will attend civic events, canvas neighborhoods, and engage directly with residents to raise awareness about the opportunity to receive free street trees through the BST Program.
